The Blount County Education Foundation was created in November of 1998 with the mission to promote academic excellence in Blount County Schools. From then until now, the Foundation, due to the tremendous support of the Blount County community, has awarded over $2.5 million dollars to the schools through its various projects!
Projects include: the classroom grant program, after school tutoring, summer camps and library hours, library enhancement, honoring the Blount County Teachers of the Year, the Scholars Bowl program, the Spelling Bee, the Math Tournament, the Youth Leadership Development Program,, recognizing the National Board Certified Teachers, resources for at-risk learners, and more!
