| Extended Day Programs |
Community Education
is a fee based program which is partly funded through an Alabama State Community Education Grant. This program has been in existence since 1997.
The first emphasis of Community Education is to provide after school care for students who attend a Blount County School in grades K5 - 6th. We currently have four Extended Day Programs in Blount County. They are:

Click HERE for Extended Day Program forms. Extended-Day starts immediately following the close of school, usually around 2:30 P.M. and closes at 6:00 P.M.

When a child leaves excited about returning tomorrow, we know we have accomplished out goal of making a positive difference in the life of each child.
The second emphasis of Community Education is to provide classes for Adults such as Basic Computer and Conversational Spanish held at the Blount County Schools Resource Center in Cleveland. The classes are scheduled throughout the year and are usually held during the evening from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
There is a nominal fee of $10.00 per class.
